On Sunday Thicket welcomed London Welsh for a friendly match and it was great to see everyone enjoying the bowls after a long week of concentrating on County Competitions. The weather even managed to stay dry if a little on the cold side. London Welsh bought along their mascot of a Welsh Dragon and this probably helped them to get a good win against the hosts. Afterwards, they all enjoyed tea and homemade cake sat outside and the sun even made an appearance. Just what lawn bowls is all about.
