Despite a late start for this game owing to some of the Burnham members getting stuck in traffic and then the rain threatening to cut the game short we managed to complete the game with a win for Thicket by 48 shots. Highest winning rink for Thicket was skipped by Jim McDonnell with Paul Ripley and Sheila Gwilliam. Tea and cakes served after 9 ends were greatly appreciated as that was when the rain decided to descend on us.

This week saw the beginning of the Men's and Ladies County Competitions.

Richard Thrift Tommy Hanks and Skip Bill Hing won their preliminary round of the Triples well done to them. Abbie Yanacopolis fought a hard battle against Eileen Faulkner in her unbadged game and was narrowly defeated. Meanwhile Jenny Bosley pulled off a great win against Yvonne Hurley of Windsor & Eton. Well done to all competitors
