What an outstanding day!
It was our absolute pleasure to host the Maidenhead Triangular Tournament yesterday and an honour for Thicket to be the first winners named on the brand new Roy Thomas Memorial Cup.
Many thanks to Roy's son, Ian Thomas of the Cordwallis Group, for sponsoring the tournament this year and for taking time out of his day to present the cup and prize monies. It was lovely to hear more about Roy. Thanks also to Town for organising the new trophy.
It really was very special to witness Maidenhead Thicket Bowling Club, Maidenhead Town and Desborough Bowling Club coming together as friends to play bowls in the right spirit Long may it continue.
