IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT COVID 19

In accordance with Government Guidelines and from Bowls England Maidenhead Thicket Bowls Club will NOT BE OPENING AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON . We have provisionally set a start date of 1st June for the outdoor season to begin and hope to be able to play some friendly matches after that. We will review the position nearer the time. If you require more information regarding the present situation please refer to Bowls England Website

Indoor win at Handy Cross

On Saturday afternoon  Thicket played an indoor friendly against Handy Cross Bowling Club and resulted in a win for Thicket by 21 shots 75 54 

Christine Howard Ian Pulsford Maggie Scrace and Paul Worthy (Skip) won 17 8 Angie Isaac Steve Isaac Kim Barao and John Burton (skip) lost 12 19 Jenny Bosley Jim McDonnell Tom Hanks and Richard Thrift (Skip) won 23 13 Gemma Hanks Pam Pulsford Nigel Wheeler Kevin Scrace (Skip) won  23 14 . Kevin just getting the winning rink by 1 shot.

Successful Dinner Dance

Last evening (22nd February 2020) saw the annual dinner dance held at it's usual venue of Maidenhead Golf Club. A great time was had by all who attended with a lovely meal good company and lots of dancing. Many thanks to everyone who attended and for those that made the arrangements. There were lots of draw prizes which had been generously donated and some people were lucky enough to win more than one prize.La
